As many know, and some are probably just finding out, I'm living in China now.  I have a one year teaching contract at a university just south of Shanghai.  China is a first for me, and I'm still adjusting to it. There's no denying that it's fun though.  I've had a lot of adventures in the past month.  I just got back from a 3 day trip to another city in our province.  My coworkers and I had a lot of fun, though I think we've seen enough of each other for a while ^^; I got LOTS of pictures, which makes me happy.  Most didn't turn out, because it's really hard to capture what I was trying to get.  Still, I think there's enough in there to gi

Ok.  It's been a while since I've submitted and it's going to be even longer before I can submit again.  Why? Because I don't have a working harddrive and I lost all the photos I took last semester. My housemate and I have discovered that there's something weird with the wiring in the house and hard drives tend to get fried while plugged in there.  My hard drive died, and then her hard drive died, and then my brand new hard drive which I just installed last week also died. That's 3 hard drives in 2 weeks.  The house must really fucking hate us.

As I'm sure people watching my gallery have noticed, there aren't any photos of Japan being submitted.  That's because I've run low (not quite out) of photos from Japan that I want to put up here.  And I'm ok with that.  My time in Japan was very important to me, as were the photos I took there. But I'm glad to be back, and I'm glad that my photography can movoe forward now as well.  I'm going to new places, coming up with new ideas, and I'm getting ready to start entirely new things: namely a full photo session with a friend who has volunteered to help out. Plus I'm able to communicate a lot more with my closest advisor on these things, Ch
